I'll have one or three, thanks

May 8, 2013

We departed Las Cuevas today and the bus ride seemed shorter on the way back compared to driving there the first day. It was a quiet bus ride as everyone was tired wiped out from the Chiquibul forest. We reached the port authority and said our final goodbyes to Boris and Alberto. Boris seemed kind of relieved to have gotten rid of us. As most of us were craving a cold brew, we all bought one or two... or three at the port. It was quite refreshing. Everyone seemed revamped and ready to go. As our ferry took us to Caye Caulker, the water just got bluer and clearer. It was too good to be true. We finally reached our destination. It wasn't too good to be true, it was a reality. I was 'stoked'! This had trouble written all over it. I didn't want to do anything. Luckily we didn't have to do anything the rest of the day, but to get settled in and roam the town. We were back to transecting first thing in the morning.

This Kabab guy had some awesome Kababs
